Good day friends!
I hope everyone’s having a great week. Last week my husband and I returned home from a three week vacation in the UK. We’ve planned and prepared ourselves for this trip for so long and it went even better than we expected. That’s one of the main reason’s the blog went quiet for a moment. I’m getting so excited for National Parks week towards the end of April! Mark your calendar’s folks! This year the National Parks Service is giving us free admission to ALL national parks in the country on April 15-16 and 22-23 and this year, like last year, Tony and I are planning a day trip to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. This time we’re planning on taking a few of our friends who are interested in adding more adventure into their weekend plans.
Visiting the SBD every April may become an annual tradition for us. Last year was the first time Tony and I ever visited and we were amazed at how big the park is. It includes all the dunes as well as the historic town of Glen Haven, the Port Oneida Rural Historic District, three former Coast Guard stations, as well as both the North and South Manitou islands. … More Sleeping Bear Dunes & Frankfort
